Definitely an older kit, still needs tons of sanding and major work for the seems... bound to be a great learning experience!
I started doing some scribing these few days... all I know is that it's going to take a while to finish modifying the kit.
Here's the third "day" (post) for the Physalis! Everything aside, that's a huge shield...
Loosely fit the arm together explains the giant line in the middle of the arm. Don't want any breakage when I take it apart..
head and torso!
I made sure to loosely fit the pieces together so that it'll be a lot easier and less dangerous to pull them apart for painting later.
This post marks the beginning of the HGUC GP-02A! Strangely enough, this will be my first HGUC kit, but my third 1/144 scale. Here it is, starting with the torso. I'm going to be following the instructions closely for the snapfitting process!
As you can see, I kinda fudged up the snipping on the sanding a bit... hopefully it will be unnoticeable after I paint it over later in the build.
wow big shield
legs and arms?
Edit: due to a technical difficulty, I realized that some trees weren't uploaded, AFTER I began work.
The inevitable has happened. After going on vacation, I can't seem to find an integral piece for the Zeta, specifically a leg plating... which kinda hampers the process of finishing it. I can't wait forever for it to pop up, so this will be an indefinite pause for this build (until I find the piece or get a replacement). I was pretty excited for it too!
And since my backlog's growing larger and larger, I have to move on (sorry zeta buddy).
Over these past few weeks (months?) I've been pretty busy with my classes and exams and what not, and I recently had the chance to go overseas!
Sadly I've yet to finish the zeta, BUT I have managed to acquire some great kits at prices of which are half from what I'm used to! Here's my new addition to my backlog.
Most of them are gunpla, with the odd PAK-FA sticking out. Really excited to try these kits!
Got this for a pretty good price, and the rest with a 25% discount! Who said local hobby shops were overpriced... ;D
As for the Zeta, now that I have gold leaf, I can continue! I just don't think titanium gold is enough for some parts.
